The Ribosome ring is a gold sculpture, a fragment of thought frozen in matter. Entirely handcrafted, it first comes to life in wax, before being cast in 18-carat yellow and red gold. This contrast of precious metals gives birth to a two-tone object with no beginning or end, with organic, almost liquid movements, evoking a primitive and cosmic rhythm.
Its name and shape pay homage to a tiny but fundamental particle: the ribosome. Present in all living cells, ribosomes translate messenger RNA into proteins—the building blocks of life.
