The Sticky Conscience ring is an organic sculpture crafted from 18-karat gold, hand-formed in wax and then cast in precious metal. It is set with a 2.58-carat cushion-cut spinel, a rare, milky shade of lavender pink, of high clarity.
This ring is a unique piece of high jewelry, sculpted in wax.
This unique piece questions what lies behind the smooth, perfect facade. How “clean” is our consciousness really? Here, the spinel seems stretched into the material, as if glued to the surrounding gold and clinging to it, revealing a viscous complex that stretches from the ring body.
Small diamonds highlight the claws, accentuating the luxurious brilliance of the visible part—the one we show. But beneath this brilliance, the work questions our dark areas, our inner contradictions, and the duality between appearance and truth, our unspeakable desires, our silent vices, and the price of our choices.
